Interview with Lena and Yulia (Molotok ¹14 2005)
Morning is in Los Angeles. Lena and Yulia already awoke. To Lena and Yulia straight in bed carry a telephone tube. After minute special agent of «MOLOTOK" "MOST" will hear quite adult, mildly husky voice of the mom of Yulia and merry, but also, mildly husky voice of Lena. Lena and Yulia constantly laugh, though not yet quite awoke.
Hey girls, what work are you doing in America? -Vadik, Moscow
Julia: In LA we walk! But now, we plan photosession in American magazine PLAYBOY, so of free time will be less. We will get undressed little, but quite will not be bared for the photosession. Still we to to visit friends and drive around the city. We neigh a lot (laughs)
Julia, is your child with you now? -Zhenya, SPB
Julia: No, she is at home in Moscow with the nurse. I awfully miss her, but she is small, pretty and she's only five months old and I cannot carry her by myself. Now I stay here and my parents and child are in Moscow.
Lena: (shouts.) And i miss everyone also and I can't wait to go home.
Julia, are you still blonde? - Serega, Kiev
Julia: No, I'm still a brunette! I just did it for a change. But my favorite color is black.
Lena, are you going to start a family? -Farida, 3005
Lena:I've discussed it, but later maybe. I've wanted a baby since I was 14 years old.
Lena, when will there be a wedding?-Alina, Yelgava
Lena: I'm not planning on getting married. I'm still not ready.
Julia, who is your husband?-Masha, Moscow
Julia: I do not have a husband. We left him [since we are in LA and he is still in Moscow.] But I feel perfect.
You like to read what books? The blonde, Saint Petersburg
Julia: Yes, but I don't like reading in general. Now I'm not reading anything.
Lena: For me- "Genetics." I finished the 4th and it was successful.
Why were you gone for so long? Where did you go?- Yuliana, Nadym
Julia: Because, I was pregnant and I couldn't work. But now we're working on the album, and clips should be released.
Are you personal with any of the western stars?- Ritik, Kharbarovsk
Julia: We saw almost everyone, but we don't know them to actually talk to them. We talk with the Russian friends we have that lives nearby.
Are you going to perform throughout Russia? It would be great to see you again!-Mashenka, Lipetsk
Julia: If you want us to, we will try to fulfil your request.
Is it true about the alchoholics?-Lapshin Larisa, Moscow
Julia: (Laughs) Of course alcholics and addicts!
Lena: Oi, I don't know how to answer that. In general, I'm not a big drinker. When I drink, it's bad. I can drink a glass of champagne and then I'd have to stop. It's just bad and I can't just go to my mum and talk with her. There's questions at the bottem of every bottle.
Do you know about Ivan Shapovalova's new project Nato?-Alina, Latvia
Julia: Never heard of them. Just the name but the music I don't know.
Lena: I never heard them also, but I'd like to listen to them.
Why haven't you sung a duet with Rammstein?-Light, N
Julia: We're still working on it. Right now we're not going anything but in the future it would be good.
Will your name album have more Russian or English?-Nactusha, Moscow
Lena: There will be both and Russian and an English album [2 albums]. But two russian songs will remain in it's [original Russian] forum. We've planned to have 15 tracks [per album] and only 13 will be on the album. And 2 for backups. The name and registration isn't clear yet. Though, the album will be released this summer.
Why did you decide to record your album exactly in LA? Independent, Moscow
Yulia: The quality of the sound is better than in moscow and professionals are also working here - moscow hasn't. We're not working with any local distinguished producers.
Do you continue singing together or are there any solo plans? Alena, Moscow
Yulia:At the moment we're together- what will come next, I don't know.
Did you buy any special clothes in LA? Sasha, Stavropol
Lena: We already went shopping but we haven't bought something special.
Which group do you like more 'Smash!!' or 'Korni'? Lena, Kalinigrad
Yulia: It's a hard question. We like both groups but the guys from Smash!! are closer to us. We know that they splitted up it's terrible! We are on no one's side we love them both but what happened is very dumb. They acted to no purpose.
